Sound in French and Macedonian – Text in English, Italian.

In each and every corner, electoral adverstiment and slogans tell me “to chose acts”. This is my act. Although I am not allowed to vote in Macedonia, as I am a stranger.

This sound piece, United Colours of elections, was made right in the middle of eleciton period in Macedonia. It tells another air, an unusual atmosphere, when one feels something happens. Without really talking about it.

Still, parties got involved in a political cruisade in villages, before the harvest day. A few NGOs cry wolf, manipulations are everywhere for each and every vote. Internaitonal community notes that “public means are massively used to serve the political campaign”.
But it is better to avoid putting words on this. The second round is over, the country chose, nearly entirely, the red and yellow colours, the colours of Macedonia, and of the most patriot political party, the one in power.
Two councils vote this sunday. As a bonus, voting for a third time. one more time, a third one. As justice cut short : the polls are invalidated in these polling booth. It happens that they had chosen another colour.

This sound piece is a fiction that tells observed facts, some of them verified, others are testimonies. An experiment to tell something in the air thta is hard to describe. A documental fiction. By someone that does not vote in Macedonia.

Ова парче звук, United Colours of elections, е реализиран во тек на изборниот период во Македонија.
Зборува за една друга атмосфера, за една необична динамика, во која што се забележува дека нешто се случува. Без да се зборува отворено.
Но партиите се насекаде по селата, го работат тернот пред денот на жетвата.
Некои невладини организации викаат “На помош!”, манипулациите се на сите страни, меѓународната заедница забележа дека „јавни ресурси се масивно употребувани за самата кампања„.
Ама подобро е да не се зборува за темата. Вториот круг е затворен, државата речиси насекаде ги избра боите на црвено и жолто, боите на Македонија, и на најпатриотската партија, што е на власт.
Две општини прегласуваат оваа недела. За Бонус, трет круг. Дека правдата смета дека изборите не биле регуларни во тие гласачки места.
Гласало за други бои.

Ова звучно парче е фикција, што разкажува факти, некои забележани, некои проверени, а останатите се сведоштва. Еден експеримент, за да се раскаже атмосферата што тешко се опишува. Документарна фикција – Реализирана од некој што не гласа во Македонија.

A ogni angolo di strada le pubblicità elettorali e gli slogans mi dicono “di scegliere gli atti”. Questo è il mio atto. Anche se non posso votare in Macedonia perché sono straniera.

Questo pezzo sonoro, Pezzo elettorale/United Colours of elections, è stato prodotto durante il periodo delle elezioni in Macedonia. Ci racconta un’altra aria, un’atmosfera particolare, quando uno intuisce che qualcosa sta succedendo. Senza parlarne apertamente.

Ciononostante i partiti sono stati coinvolti in una crociata nei villaggi, prima del giorno della raccolta. Alcune delle ONG gridano alle irregolarità, si manipola per ottenere ogni singolo voto. La comunità internazionale nota che “i soldi pubblici sono usati in gran parte per finanziare la campagna politica”.
Ma è meglio evitare di parlare di tutto ciò. Il ballottaggio è finito, il Paese ha scelto, quasi unanimemente il rosso e giallo, i colori della Macedonia, e il partito politico più patriota, quello attualmente al governo.
In due comuni si rivota questa domenica. Come un bonus, si vota ancora, un’altra volta, la terza volta. La giustizia è chiara: le elezioni si annullano in questi seggi elettorali. E’ successo che hanno scelto un altro colore.

Questo pezzo sonoro è una finzione che racconta i fatti osservati, alcuni di essi verificati, altri testimoniati. Uno sperimento che cerca di raccontare qualcosa nell’aria che è difficile descrivere. Un documentario-finzione fatto da qualcuno che non vota in Macedonia.
